Our chapel is an open-sided Bedouin tent, perched high up on the sand dune, with 360° views of the ocean, the beach, the salt pan, and the nature reserve. A few steps away from the beach, under the Main Bedouin Tent, our open-air restaurant seats 140, and includes a fully-licensed bar, a dance floor, and a stage for live music.

We are most famous for our Seafood Banquet - our deep-fried calamari are the best on the West Coast - and we have also earned a reputation for our eclectic menu of wood-fired, gourmet pizzas; try the Dauphinoise with pancetta, or the smoked snoek with sweet chilli. Next to the Main Bedouin Tent, there are three large braai pits, bordered by shady pergolas where you and your guests can drink and dine al fresco.

Strandkombuis sleeps 65 people in 27 rooms and cottages, each with its own, private en-suite bathroom. The decor is classic and simple; whitewashed walls with reclaimed wood fixtures; all contributing to the effortless harmony of our beautiful hideaway.

Strandkombuis is part of a nature and marine reserve. The environment is spectacular; home to a rich ecosystem of flora and fauna, some of which are unique to the West Coast. In spring and summer, we are joined by whales and dolphins in the bay; and in the winter, a flamboyance of flamingos on the salt pan that runs the length of the property.

Now that you have made one wonderful decision; it's time to make another. Memories are made at Strandkombuis. We can't wait to meet you... 🥂
